Appley, Ronald J. Sr., “Pep”, 73, Parkhill, PA, died April 22, 2017.  Born September 23, 1943, in Johnstown.  Son of the late George and Annie (Cohick) Appley.  Preceded in death by his brother, George “Jum”.  Pep is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary (Wojnaroski); and children, Ronald J. (Sherry), Elaine (James) Herceg, James, Mary (Mark) Vibostok, and Vincent (Lisa).  Also, survived by 11 grandchildren, Sarah, Brendan, Elana, Ashley, James, Jacob, Nathan, Vincent, Samuel, Anna, Annie, and great grandchildren, Lexi, Sophie, Wyatt, and Gavin; aunt Margaret “Mac” Swete; sister-in-law Frances; also, numerous nieces and nephews.  Pep retired after 32 years from Conemaugh & Blacklick Railroad.   He was a member of SS Gregory & Barnabas Parish.  Pep kept busy repairing cars, trucks, lawn mowers, radios, chairs and whatever else we broke.  He was Parkhill’s best mechanic and handyman.  Friends received 6 PM – 8 PM, Wednesday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh where Vigil service will be held.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am at St. Barnabas Chapel, Bon Air.  Father Robert Ruston, pastor.  Private Committal at Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum.  (Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com)
