Roger W. Morrell

Morrell, Dr. Roger. W., 64, of Westmont. Died on April 3, 2012 at his residence. Born Oct. 22, 1947, in Johnstown. Son of the late Veto and Rose (Catania) Morrell. Also preceded in death by E. Boyd “Bud” Callihan. Survived by loving of 42 years wife Marilyn (Callihan) and these sons; Christopher M. (Kathleen Irwin), Johnstown; and Jonathon R. (Lisa Hreschak), Johnstown. Grandchildren; Maddison, Macey, Mallory, Kate and Jack. Brother of Kathy (George Tighe), Johnstown. Mother-in-law, Mary (Don Mangus), Johnstown. Brother–in–law of; Glen, Gary and Fred Callihan and Peggy Johnson. 1969 Graduate of University of Pittsburgh and received medical degree from Des Moines University. Practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Johnstown and Windber for 34 years. Board Certified in Ob-Gyn and Fellow of American College of Ob-Gyn. Former Medical staff President at Lee Hospital and UPMC, Lee Campus. Member of Sunnehanna Country Club. Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed. At Roger’s request there will be no public viewing. Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Rev. Jack Rupert officiating. Private entombment will be at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum.
