Robert P. Hildebrand

Hildebrand - Robert P., 97, of Vinco went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2019. He was born on January 8, 1922 in Johnstown. Son of Harry J. and Edna C. (Good) Hildebrand. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Winona R (Mackall) Hildebrand and a brothers, Clifford, Crawford and James Hildebrand. Survived by loving son; Edward H. and his wife, Katherine, Lancaster, PA; daughters, Tera M. wife of Timothy McFarland, Lancaster, PA and Carla F. wife of David Grasser, Vinco; grandchildren, Heidi, Lindsay, T.J., Paul, Kayla, Carrie and Walter; 18 great grandchildren; sister, Ruth wife of Daniel Zurenda, Vinco; sisters-in-law, Theresa Hildebrand, Johnstown, Phyllis Hildebrand, Windber, Faye Reddinger, New Holland, PA, formerly of Vinco and Elizabeth Mackall, Duncansville and several nieces and nephews. Robert was 1938 graduate of East Conemaugh High School. He was a WW II US Army Veteran. Robert retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1978 after 39 years of service as a Heater. He was a member of Vinco Brethren Church and Vinco Senior Center. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling, but especially loved spending time with his entire family. His family would like to thank the entire staff at the Allegheny Lutheran Home at Johnstown for their compassionate care. Friends received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at Vinco Brethren Church, with the Pastor Zachary Yonko officiating. Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team will conduct Military Rites immediately following the service at the church. Private interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
