Richard H. Mock

Mock, Richard H., 87, of Bluffton, SC, formerly of Palestine, passed away on February 10, 2016. He was born on November 16, 1928 in Palestine. Son of the late James and Ethel (Berkebile) Mock. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years of years, Nora L. (Kring) Mock. Survived by his loving son, Richard D. married to the former Linda Bonfanti, Bluffton, SC; grandchildren, Eric Mock, Satellite Beach FL and Julie wife of Todd Blake, Glouster, VA; great granddaughters, Katherine and Clare Blake both of Glouster, VA; sister, Betty wife of John Saylor, Davidsville and several nieces and nephews. Richard was a 1947 graduate of Adams Township High School. He retired from Brick Layers, Local Union #9. He was a member of Salix Bethel United Methodist Church. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing with his late wife, Nora. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland with Deacon Todd Blake officiating. Inurnment will be at Dunmyer Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, 7 Plantation Park Drive, Bluffton, SC 29910 in memory of Richard.
