Kuchenbrod, Richard L, âDickâ, 78 of Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2012 at Laurelwood Care Center. He was born on July 16, 1933 in Lilly, PA. Son of Richard and Alvada (Kinter) Kuchenbrod. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rhonda Burke; brother, Harold; sister, Delores Taylor; sister-in-law, Rhenda; son-in-law, Daniel Showalter; great grandson, Lucas Rice; in-laws, Lester and Pearl Lytle; daughter-in-law, Audrey Kuchenbrod. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Doris A. (Lytle) Kuchenbrod; sons, Jude (Magen), Altoona, Paul, Mineral Point, Kenny (Pam), Reading, PA, and Rick (Val) Wilson, South Fork, PA; daughters, Cindy Wilson, Philadelphia, PA, and Debbie Kuchenbrod, Johnstown; beloved step children, Donna Showalter, Indiana, PA, Deborah (Patrick) Korenoski, Johnstown, Darlene McNulty, Johnstown, Dennis McNulty and his friend Chuck Latona, both of Atlanta, GA; 20 grandchildren, including the loves of his life, Mikel and Zane; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Osman, Lilly, PA; brothers, Robert, Martinsburg, WV and Raymond, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. Dick retired from Bethlehem Steel after 43 years of service as a Heater. He was a member of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, where he was known for passing out M&Mâs to all the children. Dick was involved with many disaster response trips with his church. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and hunting. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Friday and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. on Saturday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, with the Rev. Michael Christine and Rev. Jack Heller officiating. Interment will be at Headrick Union Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 1421 Clapboard Run Road, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Richard.
