Croasmun – Richard W., 34, Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2017 at his residence. Born on January 22, 1983 in Fort Hood, TX, son of Richard Wynn (Peggy) Croasmun, Seward, PA and Velma (George W. III) Brittingham, Johnstown, PA. Preceded in death by uncles, Dennis and Allen. In addition to his father and mother, he is survived by his loving paternal grandmother, Virginia Thornton, Waynesburg, PA; maternal grandmother, Sarah Reese, Johnstown, PA; father and mother, who he adopted, Wilbert E. (Ruth A.) Bailey, Scalp Level; fiancée, Chelsea L. Phillips, Conemaugh Township; children, Richard, Brennan, Austin, and Madison; sisters, Amanda Brittingham, Ligonier, PA, Tiffany Brittingham, and Breanna Brittingham, both of Johnstown, PA, and Megan, wife of Shawn Fyock, Windber, PA; brothers, Jesse Croasmun, Pittsburgh, PA, George Brittingham IV, Johnstown, and Dennis (Lyndsey) Allen, Windber, PA; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends, including special friend, J.R. (Angelica) McAfee. Richard was employed as a coal miner and later as an electrician at Blalock Electric. He attended Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool. He loved working with his hands in both construction and in the electrical field. At Richard’s request, there will be no public viewing. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. on Friday at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, with the Rev. Edward Berringer officiating. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
