Richard C. "Rich" Fisher

FISHER—Richard C. “Rich,” 73, Vinco and Fallentimber, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Josephine, father, Robert Earl, brothers, Robert E. Jr. (JoAnn Pender), James John (Joann Conrad) and sister, Patricia Louise (Steven Unger).  Survived by wife, Nancy Lee (Mateer), son, Matthew Scott (Charles J. Cavalovitch) daughter, Carie Lynn (Timothy J. Braniff) and special sweet granddaughters, Haley Marie Braniff and Cassidy Lauren Braniff. Also survived by sister, Donna Jean (Eugene Molnar), sister-in-law, Margaret Rose (Charles D. Carter), and by so many wonderful nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, cousins and countless friends! Rich graduated from East Conemaugh High School Class of 1964! He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp./Johnstown America Corp. after more than 37 years’ service. Rich loved hunting, fishing, camping and boating and went by many aliases including Richie, Rooster, Fish, and Richie Poo. Over the last 12 years, he was helping oversee his daughter & son-in-law’s business, Noel’s Campground and Trailer Court in Fallentimber, where he loved spending time chatting with his many camping buddies! Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Baker Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street Conemaugh PA, where Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Fr. Robert C. Hall.
