Rev. Roland Catterall

Catterall, Rev. Roland, 85, Richland Twp. Died April 23, 2015 at DLP Conemaugh Medical Center. Born Jan. 20, 1930, in Scranton. Son of the late Arthur and Agnes (Crook) Catterall. Survived by wife of 62 years’, Darlene J. (Naugle); daughter Nancy J., wife of Robert T. Green, Philadelphia; and granddaughter, Sarah L. Green. Brother of Barbara (Harry, deceased) Beshgetoorian, Clayton, NC; also nieces and nephews. Roland was a graduate of Lafayette College, Easton, PA and Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey. He was a retired Presbyterian minister that pastored the following churches; First Presbyterian Church in Bangor, PA; Mountaintop Presbyterian Church in Mountaintop, PA; Westminster Presbyterian Church in Scranton, PA and First Presbyterian Church of Holmesburg in Philadelphia, PA where he served for 24 years and was Pastor Emeritus. In retirement, Roland served at several local churches as Interim Pastor, attended the First Presbyterian Church of Windber and was a member of Redstone Presbytery. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who ministered to many over the years. Friends will be received from 4-8 PM Friday, May 1, 2015, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday May 2, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church in Windber. Pastor Cynthia Cadenhead, officiating. Interment at St. Thomas Cemetery, Hooversville, PA.
