Paul, Raymond E., 85, of Richland Township, passed away unexpectedly at Memorial Medical Center on November 5, 2011. He was born on September 30, 1926 in Richland Township. Son of the late Irvin and Mary (Shoemaker) Paul. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley L. (Warren) Paul, Richland Township; children, Dianne L. wife of Rodney W. Kniss, Carol L. wife of John F. Macey and Gary A. Paul all of Richland Township; grandchildren, Heather wife of Paul Cassidy, Richland Township, Kristen wife of Mark Rager, Windber, Travis Kniss, and Kate Macey, both of Richland Township; siblings, Betty Paul, and Kenneth (Leona) Paul all of Richland Township, Phyllis (Richard) Healy, Franklin, MA, and M. Ronald (Sue) Paul, Richland Township; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Ray was a lifelong farmer as well as being employed for Richland Township Road Department, where he retired after 32 years of service as a Road Foreman. He was a member of Cambria County Firemenâs Association and charter member of Solomon Run Volunteer Fire Company. Ray enjoyed watching the Steelers and working alongside his son, Gary on the farm. He loved spending time with his entire family and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday and one hour prior to service at 11 A.M. on Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland with the Reverend Keith Dunn officiating. Entombment will be at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. The family suggests contributions be directed to a charity of oneâs choice in memory of Ray.
