Raymond G. Dabbs

Dabbs, Raymond G., 72 of Ebensburg, formally of Tire Hill, died Jan. 9, 2014 at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born August 13, 1941, in Johnstown.  Son of the late Albert and Ethel (Ferguson) Dabbs.  Also preceded in death by brother, Harry Dabbs; sister, Alberta Raymond; and infant sister Trudy Dabbs.  Survived by daughter, Brandee, wife of David Schnegg, grandchildren, Elizabeth and Eric Schnegg all of Clarington, OH.  Also survived by sister, Darlene (Damien) Lovas; brother, Thomas Dabbs and several nieces and nephews.  Raymond was a 1959 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School and a 1995 graduate of Cambria-Rowe Business College with an Associate Degree in Specialized Business.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1965.  He was a retired brakeman from Bethlehem Steel.  Ray was an avid Steelers fan.  Before his long illness, he enjoyed fly fishing, hunting, and bowling.  Friends will be received from 1:30 PM until time of Service at 5:30 PM  Saturday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland with Fr. David S. Peles, officiating.  Committal will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.  The family suggests donations to St. Sylvester Central School, 119 Wayne Ave Woodsfield, OH 43793 in memory of Ray.
