Cassidy, Raymond F.88, of Richland Township. Went to be with the Lord on Nov. 25, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 9, 1924, in Patton. Son of the late Leonard P. and Helen (Balon) Cassidy. Also preceded in death by wife of 68 years, Dorothy J. (Helsel) Cassidy. Survived by children; Patricia Feathers, Mary Lou Yarnavick, S. Michael, married to former Rae Ann Komis and Raymond, married to the former Connie Gaunt, all of Richland; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Graduate of Johnstown High School. WW II Army Veteran. Retired from Data Processing, General Office at Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown and Charles T. Menoher Post #155, VFW. Ray volunteered at Windber Hospice. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather. His life was devoted to his family. Friends received 3-7 PM Friday at the Harris Funeral Home. 500 Cherry Lane, Richland where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Saturday at St. Benedict Church. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal at Richland Cemetery with Military Rites by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team. Family suggests donations to Windber Hospice , 600 Somerset Ave. Windber, PA 15963 in memory of Ray.
