Christian-Wade Ramona Alisa “Babray.”” 76 of Johnstown, Pa was born to Raymond A. and Rosa Lee (Hilton) Christian on November 30, 1947. She transitioned on June 1, 2024, when God whispered “Your work here is done.” She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, James A. Christian, brother-in-law, Ronald Glover and sister-in-law Janet Faye (Baxter) Christian. Ramona also precedes her good friends, Jackie King Morris, Mildred Hunter, and Billie Rozier. She leaves behind to mourn, her loving husband Herbert and these adoring children; April Christian and Faye Ruley both of Johnstown, Mark Wade and Kia Wilson, all of Philadelphia. Ramona’s legacy is her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her grandchildren are Tasha, Dominique, India Quentin, Ania Rose, Zoey, Asia, Ian, and Chase. Her great grandchildren are Roshaun, Quaron, Khloe, Jamiera, Nova, Kailee, Navy, and soon to be born Baby Z. She had an unbreakable bond with her sisters; Jackie Gunby (Leroy), Faye Glover, sister-in-law Delores Lewis (Chris) and sister-cousin Theresa Hilton. Her life was made richer by these friends; Annie Washington, Bernice Osman, Joyce Culliver, and Pam Nash. Ramona is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ramona was a 1965 Graduate of Johnstown Central Senior High School and a 1971 Graduate of Johnstown Vocational Technical Practical Nursing Program. She later attended and graduated in 1991 from Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing Philadelphia, Pa. She was employed by Temple University and retired in 2012. Ramona continued to work for Cerner Corporation as a research coordinator until the time of her death. Ramona loved her church and her church family. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Institutional Baptist Church and God’s mission for her was to serve. She was active in the following ministries: Missionary, Emergency Medical Team, and the Church Hospitality. She was also a giver of spiritual help to others. Ramona was also active in her community. She was a member of the Elizabeth Lindsay Davis Club Inc., a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 294. a member of the NAACP and was the Chairperson for the NAACP Johnstown Branch Veterans Committee. Ramona will be remembered for her kindness and willingness to serve. She loved the Word of God and followed the teachings of Jesus Christ. “Who can find a virtuous woman?” Proverbs 31:10-31. Her Wake will be held on Friday June 7, 2024 at Mt. Sinai Institutional Baptist Church from 4 pm until 7 pm followed by A Celebration of Life on Saturday June 8, 2024 at 11:00 am. Rev.
