Boyer – Philip D., 96, Vinco, passed into eternal rest on November 21, 2020. Born on July 5, 1924 in Cherry Tree, PA, son of Philip G. and Mary Ethel (Stutzman) Boyer. Preceded in death by his parents, wife of 59 years, Mavis M. (Malkinson) Boyer. He is survived by his loving children, Bonnie (Randy) Tidwell, Burns, TN, Beverly (Bud) Phillip, Nanty Glo, Elaine (Wayne) Hargrove, Dickson, TN, and Phil (Carol) Boyer, Nashville, TN; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; sister, Grace (Bob) Veil, Hagerstown, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews. Phil was a 1942 graduate of Conemaugh High School. He was a US Army Veteran serving during WWII in England and France as a Staff Sergeant. Phil met his wife, Mavis in England at a Red Cross Dance. They married shortly after the war ended and settled in Vinco. Phil was a life-long member of the Richland Church of Christ. He loved the Lord and he cherished his family and his life reflected that. Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5th, at the Baker-Harris Funeral Home, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh. Entombment will be at Richland Mausoleum with military rites conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team.
