Pearl Johnson

Johnson, Pearl, 84, of Vinco. Died Jan. 23, 2014, at Conemaugh Medical Center.  Born Jan. 18, 1930, in Conemaugh. Daughter of the late Wasil and Emily (Sirkot) Pekera. Also preceded in death by siblings; John, Anna Rheel, Mary Wiggins, Peter, Nellie Britton, Stephen, Olga Zadarla, Julia Dolgas, Eva Turanik, Elizabeth Nagle and Catherine Swansinger.Survived by husband of 62 years Delbert E.; daughters Janny (with whom she resided) and Judi; grandson Joshua Towne; and many nieces and nephews.  Member of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and American Carpatho Citizens Club.  Pearl was a loving wife, mother, grandma, baby-cuddler, cookie-baker and animal lover.  Her sweet smile and loving nature will be missed by all who knew her.  Friends received from 2 PM Sunday until time of service at 6:00 PM Sunday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh.  Pastor John Weaver, officiating.  Private interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Tuesday.  (on line condolences maybe posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com)
