Gillin - Pauline Alice, 87, of Vinco, PA, died December 9, 2014 at The Presbyterian Home in Johnstown after a lengthy illness. Born August 30, 1927 in Bellefonte, PA. Daughter of William J. and Marie (Custer) Lucas. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Irvin Charles âChuckâ, Gillin and brother, William James Lucas Jr. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Alice Rose Lucas, of Everett, PA; nephews, Blaine (Terri) Lucas, Pittsburgh, PA and Forrest (Pam) Lucas, Everett, PA, and numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews. Pauline graduated high school in 1945 and immediately went to work. She spent her entire working career at Verizon, from where she retired in 1986, and all its earlier companies beginning with GTE in 1945. Pauline was a member of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church, East Taylor Township. She was an avid pinochle player and cookie baker, and traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada by train. Friends and family will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Baker Harris Funeral Chapel, East Conemaugh, with the Rev. Dr. Frank Brosius officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
