Shiley Sr. - Paul J., 88, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2019 at The Atrium Manor. Born on July 13, 1931 in Johnstown, son of Thomas Stanford and Mabel G. (Bookamire) Shiley. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucy (Dona) Shiley; son, Paul Jr.; siblings, William, Eleanor, Marion, and Robert. He is survived by his loving son, Thomas J., Richland; grandchildren, Desiree, Kelsey, Olivia, and Jessi; great grandsons, Canaan, Conor and Bennett Morris; special daughters-in-law, Sally Drager and Pam Shiley both of Johnstown and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was a Korean Veteran serving in the US Army. He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 34 years of service working as the Assistant General Foreman in the Gautier Plant. Paul was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, where he served as an Usher for many years. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, All Saints Assembly Council #954. Paul was a past member of the Geistown Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed casino trips, and cruises with his family. Paul loved his entire family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum, with military rites conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team. Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
