Paul DeNeen Brant

Brant, Paul DeNeen, 91, of Richland, recently residing at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Died September 30, 2014 at Altoona UPMC Hospital. Born Aug. 26, 1923, in Somerset. Son of the late Paul Elwood and Marian (Wills) Brant. Survived by wife of 71 years, Blanche E. (Hinchliffe) and these children; Dennis (Marlene Shaffer), Richland; Darlene (Thomas) Tiffany, Richland; Devra (Gregory) Kline, Hampton, VA; and Darren (Joanne Beidle), Richland. Grandchildren; Heidi, Damian, Bradley, Rebekah, Douglas, Justin, Nathan, Ashley, Amanda, Lauren & Rachel. Also great grandchildren; Aiden, Isabella, Abigail, Lilly, Noah, Tyler, Gabriella and  Santino  Brother of Phyllis Hall, S.C.; nephew, Craig Hall, S.C. 1942 graduate of Johnstown High School. Army Veteran of WWII, serving in the invasion of France on D-Day. Retired from Penelec with 44 years’ service. Former president of I.B.E.W. Life  member of Menoher Post #155, VFW. He enjoyed hunting, playing pinochle, gardening, and his dogs. DeNeen especially loved playing with his grandchildren. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where funeral service will be held at 10 on Friday. Fr. Charles Martin, officiating.
