Unger – Patricia L., 83, of East Conemaugh, went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2017. Born on September 12, 1934, in Johnstown. Daughter, of the late Robert E., Sr. and Mary J. (Wurm) Fisher. Also preceded in death by an infant daughter, and brothers, James and Robert E., Jr. Survived by loving husband of 60 years, Stephen G. Unger, East Conemaugh; daughter, Mary Jo, wife of Thomas Reighard, East Conemaugh; grandchildren, Thomas Jr., and Nicholas, both of Harrisburg, PA; siblings, Donna, wife of Eugene Molnar, Mundys Corner, and Richard, married to the former Nancy Mateer, Vinco; sisters-in-law, JoAnn (Conrad) Fisher, Parkhill and JoAnn (Pender) Fisher, Mineral Point; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many special friends. She was a 1952 graduate of East Conemaugh High School. Pat was employed at the former Fisher’s Frozen Custard Stand, Mundys Corner; A&P, Johnstown; Conzatti’s Italian Market, Richland, and at Yuhas Plumbing and Heating, East Conemaugh for several years. She was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration, where she volunteered many hours traveling for supplies and cooking for church dinners and fundraisers. Pat enjoyed decorating the church for holidays and the activity center; visiting home bound parishioners, and singing with the church choir. She also was a member of the former Sacred Heart Ladies Guild. Pat had a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother, reciting the Rosary before morning Mass as well as daily. On the 13th of every month from May thru October, Pat and a group of friends traveled to Loretto to recite the Rosary. She was a member of the East Conemaugh Volunteer Fire Company and the Ladies Auxiliary; Cambria County Firemen’s Association Ladies Auxiliary, and the Firemen’s Association of the State of PA. When not working at the church, Pat loved spending time with her family and attending family activities. Sunday dinners and holiday meals were special to her. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Church of the Transfiguration, Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. Entombment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum. The family suggests contributions be directed to the Church of the Transfiguration or to the East Conemaugh Volunteer Fire Company in memory of Pat.
