Patricia A. Kokoruda

Kokoruda – Patricia A., 82, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2016 at her residence. Born on April 18, 1934 in Johnstown, daughter of Michael J. and Mary S. (Strippy) Kokoruda. Preceded in death by parents, and sister, Mary L. Dlhosh. She is survived by her loving siblings, Dorothy M. (Richard) Ruth, Geistown, Robert J., Richland Township, Barbara J. (James) Mosimann, Gainesville, VA, Joseph M., (Tina), Columbus, OH; Godchildren, Gloria Day and John Noel, and numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia was a graduate of Ferndale High School. She was a Nun with the Sisters of the Devine Providence in Pittsburgh, PA for 25 years. Patricia attended of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. She enjoyed sewing, art work, and teaching CCD in Windber. Patricia loved her entire family and will be remembered as a kind and loving sister, aunt and friend. Her family would like to thank everyone at Senior Life for all their support. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Private burial will be at St. Stephens Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 2310 Bedford Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Patricia.
