FISHER - Patricia JoAnn (Pender), 90, of Mineral Point, PA.  JoAnn passed away peacefully at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by family on September 26, 2023. Born June 12, 1933 in Cresson, PA.  She was a beloved member of her community. Daughter of the late John and Erma (Walbeck) Pender. Also preceded in death by husband of 61 years, Robert E. Fisher, Jr., brother, Robert Pender married to Carole, William Pender married to Jane, Jack Pender married to Marge; sister, Janetta (Pender) married to Nicholas Katynski, Dorothy (Pender) married to Robert Hazelett; daughter-in-law, Marcia (Yingling) Fisher; granddaughter, Annette Crusan, and grandson Scott Crusan. JoAnn was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her loving children, David married to Jody (Merrick), Debra wife of Ronald Crusan, and Robert married to Teresa (Witherow). She was a beloved grandmother to Veronica married to Brian Burket, Kellie married to Brian Walker, Tara married to Brian Peterman, Jill married to Kevin Farmer, Jacqueline married to Eric Neves, Kayla married to John Henley, Nicole, Michael, Benjamin, and Nathan. JoAnn was also a cherished great-grandmother to Austin, Kylie, Erika, Bailey, Antonino, Alexis, Curtis, Ella, Tanner, Hailey, Carson, and numerous nieces and nephews. JoAnn is a graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School. She lived and worked along the East Coast from Florida to Pennsylvania including employment at a glass factory, at Memorial Hospital, and the Best Form factory. JoAnn was an active member of the Cambria County Election board for 39 years. JoAnn's greatest love was her family. Spending time with her loved ones was her favorite past-time. Family picnics, sporting events, and playing cards were at the top of her list. She was an avid baker, knitter, and enjoyed reading Stephen King novels. JoAnn had the biggest heart and a smile that could light up any room. She was a very compassionate, loving, and fun spirited person. JoAnn loved all animals, but had a special place in her heart for her stay at home buddy Zeus. Donations can be made in her name to the Humane Society of Cambria County. JoAnn Fisher will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and joy will be cherished forever. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. Saturday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, with Rev. Daryl R.
