CULP - Norma Jean, 90, Richland, went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2022, at home surrounded by loved ones. Born May 1, 1932, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Jerome and Gertrude (Coutts) Dietz. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by beloved husband of 65 years, Robert; and sister, Florence LaVern. Survived by daughters, Vicki Hershberger, Sheri (Peter) Mehalco, Wendi (John) Millick, and son, Robert (Jennifer) Culp; grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Ashley (Michael Kozak), Shana (Zac Long), Matthew (Shayla Houts), Alaina, Aiden, and Adelynn; great-grandchildren, Emma, Gabriel, John, Elias, and Theo; and special friend of 80 years, Fran. Norma was a 1950 graduate of Richland High School and a 1953 graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She was a dedicated nurse for many years in various capacities. Norma devoted her life to her family as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was an excellent cook, making certain no one left her table hungry particularly at the holidays. Special thanks to her caregivers Vivian, Grace, Nancy, Marjorie, Patty, Denice, Terrie, and Kim; Dr. Massoud; and all the wonderful staff at Windber Hospice. Member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church where a private funeral service was held with Pastor Scott Klimke officiating. Private entombment was at Richland Cemetery.
