Nora Gene Walker

Walker – Nora “Gene”, 89, Laurel View Village, Davidsville, formerly of Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2016. Born October 29, 1926 in Spring Church, PA, daughter of William C. and Tressa A. (Fredrick) McQuaide. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, William F. Walker; sisters, Dorothy L. Stone, Kathleen Williamson, and Betty Wingard. She is survived by her loving children, William P., married to the former Diana Seger, Huber Heights, OH and Candi Walker, Stevens, PA; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brothers, Leland R., married to the former Dorothy Maier, William F., married to the former Sandi Pilot, and Stanley R., married to the former Deborah Middleton all of Richland. Also survived by brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Gene was a 1943 graduate of Apollo High School. She was Secretary/Treasurer at W.C. McQuaide Inc. Gene was a board member at W.C. McQuaide Inc.; Penn Air Inc.; Rite Way Insurance Inc. and Highland Community Library. She was a loyal member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Gene was an avid bridge player, enjoyed music, entertaining and cooking for family and friends. She was a classy lady, loved by everyone that knew her and will be sadly missed. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Scott Klimke officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Those who wish, may make contributions to Mt.
