Nancy L. McCombie

McCombie, Nancy L., 87, Johnstown, passed on May 21, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones.  Born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Charles and Eileen (McClain) Stevens.  Preceded in death by parents; husband Walter McCombie; sons-in-law, David Colbert, David Rohme and Mark Peretin; sister Caroline Gosnell; brother David Stevens; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Yeager, Ruth Allison, Olive Bailey and Peggy Flores. Survived by children; Regina Colbert, Pauline (Roy) Emerick, William (Pam), W. Ray (Suzette Markum), Tammy Rohme and Carol Peretin.  She was Nana to 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by sisters Rosemarie Nemeth, Linda (Ray) Zabala; brother-in-law George (Kathy Denk) McCombie, sisters-in-law Cally (Wil) Stiles and Shirley (Bruce) Berkey.  Charter member of Solomon Run Ladies Fire Auxiliary, former Treasurer of Cambria County Ladies Fire Auxiliary for 40 years.  Former board member of the Richland School District. Member of Bethany United Methodist Church where she had held numerous positions.  She was involved in years past with the Cambria County Republican Committee.  Nancy was an exceptional seamstress and she loved her Pittsburgh Steelers.  She was a snowbird at heart and enjoyed her winters in the sunshine in Florida where she could be found playing cards and bingo.  Due to the public health concerns there will be private family viewing and service at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Pastor Adam Dotts officiating.  Private interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
