Homan, Michael "Mike", 78, of Mineral Point, passed away on January 23, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center with his family at his side. He was born on May 27, 1932, in Johnstown. Son of Harry and Milavka (Yacynych) Homan. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, John, Harry and Steve, and sisters, Anne Mirabile, Irene Sroka and Mary Goy. Survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Charlotte (Walls) Homan; daughters, Joyce Homan, Philadelphia and Nancy Homan, Vinco; granddaughter, Erica Neuner and several nieces and nephews. Mike was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired from Bethlehem Steel where he was employed as a Wire Drawer. Mike was a member of the Ebensburg Evangelical Bible Church. He was a lover of auctions, Old Time Gospel, Bluegrass, a man of faith and humor. Mike was a devoted and faithful family man and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who might need it Friends will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Wednesday and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. on Thursday at the Baker Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, East Conemaugh, with the Rev. Marvin E. Lowery officiating. Private interment will be at Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
