Gresik - Michael R., “Big Mike”, 79, of Johnstown, passed away on May 2, 2017 at his residence. Born November 30, 1937 in Johnstown, the son of Michael and Mary (Mizera) Gresik. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jacqueline Mae (Conrad) Gresik; children, Darlene, wife of Anthony Piskurich, Judith, wife of Gary Weinzierl, Mary, Michael Jr., Suzanne, wife of David Phillips, and Catherine, wife of Keith Bender; grandchildren, Amber, Anthony, Mark, Ashley, Amanda, Ryan, Kayla, Brandyn, Jennifer, Michael, Chance, and Nicholas; great grandchildren, Lillian, Noah, and Brooks. He is also survived by a sister, Dolores, several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Mike loved hunting, and he was an expert fly fisherman who tied his own flies. He was an avid golfer for many years at Berkley Hills Golf Course, where he gave excellent lessons on how to play the game to anyone who was lucky enough to join him for a round. Mike was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor.
