Crissey, Melvin L. âJimâ, 71, of Richland. Died July 8, 2011, at the Palliative Care Unit at Memorial Medical Center. Born October 22, 1939, in Johnstown. Son of the late Melvin L. and Cecile R. (Nemeth) Crissey. Survived by wife, the former Barbara A. (Kovach). Children; James M., married to the former Marlene Kennedy, South Riding, VA; Michael L., married to the former Patricia Schauer, Eads, TN; and Patricia A. (Crissey)Lux, Williamsburg, VA; grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob Crissey, and Lauren Lux. Brother of Terry R. Crissey, married to Charlotte (Bowne), Elton. Sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Pikovsky and Margaret Kovach, Johnstown. Special friends, Barry and Marianne Van Scoyoc, Lake Gaston, NC. A 1958 Graduate of Johnstown High School. Served six years in the Army Reserves. Retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1979 with 20 yearsâ service. Retired part owner of Morley Auto Parts in South Fork. Member and Usher at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Jim was the APPRISE counselor/coordinator for Cambria County. He worked for Cambria County Senior Citizen Centers providing tax preparation for the elderly. His special interest was assisting St. Paulâs Indian Mission in Marty, SD. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who helped many people in their time of need. Friends received 2-8 PM Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Monday at St. Benedict Church. Fr. David S.
