Maxine M. Blough

Blough, Maxine M., “Memaw”, 82, of Richland Township went to be with her Lord on June 13, 2011 at Windber Hospice. She was born on February 3, 1929 in Akron, OH. Daughter of Charles W. and Mary M. (Miller) Purbaugh. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Blough and a daughter, Kathy B. Brownell. Survived by her loving children, Ric W. Blough, Richland Township, Jay D. married to the former Cathy Mater, Richland Township, Carole K. wife of David Sheets, Clermont, FL and Lisa B. wife of Paul Esmont, Windber; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Frank P. married to the former Elaine Freedman, Richland Township; several nieces, nephews; many friends; her special companion, Peppy and her many birds. Maxine attended Tire Hill Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed working in her yard, traveling, and cooking. Maxine’s true love was her family, especially caring for Max, Mark and Carmen. She will be remembered as a kind and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Viewing will be held from 4 P.M. -8 P.M. on Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral service will be at 11 A.M. on Thursday at Tire Hill Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Frank Young officiating. Private burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
