Valle - Mary Louise “Nunny”, 76, Laurel Wood Care Center, entered into eternal peace surrounded by her family, on March 6, 2019. Born March 21, 1942, in Johnstown. Daughter of Andrew and Irene (Costlow) Rifilato. Preceded in death by her parents and her loving devoted husband of 54 years, Louis I. Valle. She is survived by her children, Louis A. (Rebecca), Gina (Charles) Burkhard; grandchildren, Vincent (Sarah) Paczek, Joseph Burkhard; great-granddaughter, Camila Paczek, and brothers, Charles (Betty) Rifilato and James (Rose) Rifilato. She had many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who she loved dearly, special Aunt, Sister Anthony Costlow, and her much-loved grand-dogs. Mary cherished her grandchildren who dubbed her ‘Nunny’, and she and ‘Pappy’ were always on the go with them taking them on adventures when they were young. She was a graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School and had close friends from those days that she still stayed in touch with. She was a devoted homemaker, a talented artist, and taught ceramic painting for many years out of her home and had still been painting beautiful pictures while living at Laurel Wood. We express our gratitude to those at Laurel Wood who cared for her and treated her with love and admiration. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Private inurnment will be at St. Anthony Cemetery, Geistown.
