Mary E. Rovansek

Rovansek – Mary E., 95, Woodvale Heights, went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2015 at Golden Living Center, Richland Township. Born on August 5, 1919 in Johnstown, daughter of Vincent and Catherine (Gomulka) Gemza. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, M. Martin Rovansek; brothers, Ted Vozniak, , Harry, Walter, and Stanley Gemza. She is survived by her loving children, Kathleen C. “Kitty”, wife of John Vivis, East Taylor Township, Thomas D., Houston, TX, and Roseanne, wife of John Sefko, Allentown, PA; grandchildren, Marty (Amy) Vivis, East Taylor Township, Sherri (Rick) Siwy, East Taylor Township, Kimberly (Andrew) Holmgreen, San Antonio, TX, Jonathan and Ryan Sefko, both of Allentown, and Julianne Sefko, Saint Louis, MO; great grandchildren, Crystal (Jeremy) Jedrzejek, Connellsville, PA, Ashley, Nathan and Karley Vivis, all of East Taylor Township; great-great grandchildren, Alexandra, Charlotte, and Nils Holmgreen, Mason, Kaden, and Nevaeh Jedrzejek; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friend, Margaret Averi, Westmont Borough. Mary was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, crafts, talking on the telephone, and watching her grandkids. Mary loved watching game shows on T.V. Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh followed by Mass at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Transfiguration, Fr. Robert C. Hall. Committal will be at Headricks Union Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to the Church of the Transfiguration, 335 Second Street, Conemaugh, PA 15909 in memory of Mary.
