Mary Ann Paruch

Paruch, Mary Ann, 84, of Richland, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 27, 2012 at Windber Hospice.  Born on November 18, 1927 in Johnstown. Daughter of John and Angeline (Golojuch) Szczur. Preceded in death by parents, husband of 61 years, Frank Paruch; siblings, Stanley, Lottie (Barry) Slisz, and Joseph “Butch” Stuer. She is survived by her loving children, Richard, married to the former Linda Leheny, Newark, DE; Monica, wife of Ronald James, Richland; Bernard, married to the former Jeanette Ledney, Westmont; Frank, married to the former Rhonda Beagle, Largo, FL; and Patricia Paruch, Richland; grandchildren, Kimberly, wife of Erik Johns, Rio Rancho, NM; Patty, wife of Russell Felton, Richland; Matthew, married to the former Ashley Bouch, NC; and Jessa Paruch, Pittsburgh; great grandchildren, Katie James, Kendrik Johns, Samantha and Jakob Felton, and Luke Paruch; brothers, John , Richland; Anthony, Norristown, PA; Walter, Johnstown and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary retired after 25 years as a Seamstress. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed yard work, crossword puzzles, watching sports and the Weather Channel. She loved learning, visiting historical sites, and trips to DC and FL with her late husband, Frank. Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who would baby sit her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM Thursday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Entombment Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. The family suggests contributions be directed to Windber Hospice or Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center, 600 Somerset Ave. Windber, Pa. 15963 in memory of Mary Ann Paruch.
