Mary Dolores Lowery

 LOWERY – Mary Dolores, 81, of Westmont, passed away July 31st, 2019 at University Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte, NC. Born Sept. 10, 1937. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John W. Lowery; sisters Catherine, Sylvia Kindya, and Valeria Kush; and brother, George “Sonny” Matson. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa A., wife of Jason Tremper, Mooresville, NC; grandsons, John and Tyler Tremper; sister, Shirley Conover; and many nieces and nephews. Mary grew up in Johnstown before moving to NJ with her husband where they raised their daughter, Lisa. In 1999 they retired back to Westmont. After her husband passed away in 2011, Mary remained in her Westmont home until 2017 when she moved to Charlotte, NC to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren, her “little angels”. She loved her polkas! Even in her later years, when she couldn't walk very well, you could still find "Aunt Dee" dancing around and singing along with polkas on the radio. Friends received 3-7 pm Monday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am Tuesday at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Westmont. Fr. Mark Begley, Pastor. Committal at Holy Trinity Cemetery in East Taylor Township.
