Hanley â Mary C., 98, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2014 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born on October 8, 1916 in Johnstown, daughter of Stephen and Anna (Yarnovich) Balencic. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon F. Hanley and 8 siblings. She is survived by her loving children, Robert, and wife Joyce, Johnstown, Kathy, and husband Richard Weaver, Johnstown, and Barbara, and husband Michael Todd, Lake Worth, FL, grandchildren, Jared and Laura Hanley both of Johnstown; great granddaughter, Milica; brother, Stephen Balencic, and wife Mary and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary lived in Johnstown her entire life and was employed at the former Tops Dinner and Penn Traffic. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Mary volunteered at St. Michael Parish and various Brownstown organizations. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, baking and had a full command and comprehension of the Croatian language. Maryâs family would like to thank her care giver, Bernice Wagner and the entire staff at Arbutus Park Manor. She will be remembered as a kind and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who loved spending time with her entire family. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Moxham. Committal will be at Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Arbutus Park Manor or a local charity of oneâs choice in memory of Mary.
