FLANAGAN---Mary Margaret “Peggy,” 81, East Conemaugh passed away on May 19, 2021 in Johnstown. Born February 26, 1940, in East Conemaugh, daughter of Thomas and Margaret (McClain) Briggs. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Patrick Flanagan Sr., sisters, Leona Piechnik, Elizabeth Podoletz, Shirley Barker, Patricia Doyle, and brother, Thomas Briggs. Survived by children, Patrick Flanagan Jr., East Conemaugh; Tim Flanagan (Anita Rheel), Johnstown; Margaret Flanagan (Danny Woods), Nashville, TN; Jason Flanagan, East Conemaugh; granddaughter, Martina Flanagan, Johnstown. Sister of Donald Briggs (Mary Williams), East Conemaugh. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Member of Church of the Transfiguration, East Conemaugh, where she was a member of the church choir and helped with church dinners. In addition to volunteering at church, she enjoyed time with her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., East Conemaugh. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. The family would like to thank the Conemaugh Home Health nurses who cared for Peggy. Online condolences may be posted at www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
