Mary Caroline Dubovecky

June 21, 1923 — July 30, 2021

Dubovecky - Mary Caroline, 98, of East Taylor Township went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2021. She was born on June 21, 1923 in Bedford County, PA, the daughter of the late Farrell F. Gochnour and Daisie P. (McCreary) Gochnour. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Nick Dubovecky, and infant granddaughter, Krista Nicole Dubovecky.

She is survived by five children: Vivian L. and husband , Bryant Durham, Warner Robins, GA, and their daughter Aura Lee Durham; Larry G. and wife, Sharon (Jones), Vinco, and their children, Michele Dubovecky Cookson (Dave) and Brian Dubovecky (Jaime) and their sons, Nick and Joseph Dubovecky; Bruce F. and wife, Cindy (Manly), Madison, OH, and their sons Eric Dubovecky (Christine) & David Dubovecky; Lt Col Barbara L. Dubovecky, USAF (retired), Plain City, UT; and Ronald O. and wife, Tarrie (Murray), Titusville, FL and their son Brett, and his daughter Mikala, and their son Aaron. Mary was a graduate of East Conemaugh High School. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church. Mary was very proud that her husband and all her children served in the Armed Forces. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. Her family greatly appreciates The Villa and their staff, especially Janiel, for the comfort, support, and care they gave Mary. A special thanks to Beth, Todd and family and also Keith for the years of love and assistance they gave Mary.

Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Summit Chapel United Methodist Church with the Reverend John H. Weaver officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Mausoleum. The family is being served by the Baker-Harris Funeral Home, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, PA. The family suggests contributions be directed to Summit Chapel United Methodist Church, 2142 William Penn Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15909 in memory of Mary.
