Mary L. Cunkelman

Cunkelman, Mary L., 91, of Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2013 at Laurelwood Care Center. She was born on April 4, 1921 in Luzerne, PA. Daughter of Charles and Mary (Sabo) Shimko. Preceded in death by be her parents; husband, George T. Cunkelman Sr.; brothers, Charlie, Mike, John, Steve and Louis and a sister, Elizabeth Shimko. She is survived by her loving sons, John C., married to the former Ruth A. Kirkpatrick, Berwinsdale, PA and George T. Jr., married to the former Yen Kim Do, Johnstown; grandchildren, Mary E. (Kevin) Gingrich, Hanover, MD, John (Isabella) Cunkelman, Berwinsdale, PA and James (Lisa) Cunkelman, Fairbanks, AK, Kimberly (Christopher) Stewart, Canonsburg, PA, Ann (Jamie) McDonnell, Fort Drum, NY, and Georgiana (Shawn) Novatny, Myrtle Beach, SC; great grandchildren, William, Iian, John, Veronica, Joseph, Christian, Rylie, Addison and Kai and several nieces and nephews. Mary was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and working with flowers in her garden. Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is now with her best friend and love of her life, George Sr. Friends will be received from 11 A.M. until time of service at 1 P.M. on Saturday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Pastor Denise Ann Todero, CRE, officiating. Entombment will be at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. The family suggests contributions be directed to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
