BERTINO---Mary, 98, Richland. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joseph A. “Bart” Bertino; and her parents, Thomas and Francesca (Carita) Cornacchia; brother Joseph (Ann) Cornacchia; sisters, Rose (Albert) DiClemente; Annie (John) Gaio; Angeline (Dominick) Bertino and Delphina (Steve) Toth and Santo Bertino. Mary was the last surviving member of her family. Born January 22, 1925 in Windber. Survived by loving children, Joseph R. (Carole) Bertino and Donna Heiple (Russ); 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Constance Bertino. Mary loved playing cards especially with her loving niece, Luanne and special friend, Anna. She participated in activities at Arbutus and played piano for the residents. The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday November 3, 2023 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where vigil will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal, St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery, Windber.
