Jenkins – Mary Ann, 85, Richland, went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2022. Born on August 9, 1937 in Johnstown, daughter of Michael and Clara (Mitchell) Safko. Preceded in death by her parents, and husband, William E. Jenkins.
She is survived by her loving children, Michael, Johnstown, Scott, Petersburg, WV, and Tammy (Richard) Burkey, Greensburg; grandchildren, Jacob and Connor Burkey, both of Greensburg, Michael (Jamie) Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Austin and Blake Jenkins and several nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann was employed at a former daycare center on Belmont Street, Johnstown, and later at Sunnehanna Country Club. She was a member of the Johnstown Chapter #183, Order of the Eastern Star. Mary Ann was a former member of St. Stephens Catholic Church. Mary Ann enjoyed playing racket ball, golfing, water skiing, and volunteering at Windber Senior Center. She loved going casinos and to fall festivals, but especially spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.
At Mary Ann’s request, there will be no viewing. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, Rev. Lawrence Lacovic. Committal will be at Richland Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Mary Ann.
