Mary Ann Bittman

Bittman, Mary Ann, 75, of Geistown. Died Jan. 14, 2018, at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born Sept. 20, 1942, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Joseph and Antonia (Popolo) Macri. Also preceded in death by sister, Gertrude Macri. Survived by husband 44 years, Joseph C. Bittman, III; children, Marianne (Steve) Mele, Chesapeake, VA; Michelle (Bobby) Lilley, Birmingham, AL; and Joanna (Keith) Skowron, Johnstown; grandchildren, Mason, Marina, Ava and R.J. Sister of Mary Frances (Joseph) Gorchesky; Rose (Joseph) Pingatore, Angeline (James) Cekada and Joseph (Joanne) Macri. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. A 1960 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 1962 graduate of Cambria-Rowe Business College, followed by a cosmetology degree in 1965. Mary Ann was a retired hairdresser and owned a day care center. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. She devoted her life to being a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Family and friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at Harris funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil service will be held.
