Mark D. Swete

SWETE[mdash] Mark Daniel, 64, Johnstown, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 at his home. Born December 1, 1958, to the late Daniel and Margaret (Appley) Swete in Johnstown. He grew up in Johnstown and attended college at Penn State University. Mark resided with his family in Kansas City, Missouri, where he retired from managing the chemical department of the Kansas City Water Services before retiring and returning home to Johnstown. He is survived by his sister, Melissa Swete of Johnstown and two daughters, Jessica Swete and Dianna Swete of Kansas City, Missouri. Mark always encouraged the people around him to live life like it was a bowl of cherries, without the pits. He will be missed. A Memorial service will be open to friends and family at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2023 at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh, with Rev. Adam Dotts officiating.
