Mark A. Konchan

KONCHAN – Mark A., 63, Richland, passed away on October 26, 2023, in Johnstown. Born April 8, 1960, in Johnstown, son of Edward W. and Lois M. (Adams) Konchan.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kim W. Konchan and sister-in-law, Kathy (Wingard) Konchan. Survived by loving brothers, Charles Konchan, married to the former Carol Freidhoff, Johnstown, and Kenneth Konchan, married to the former Judy Buchkovich, Salix, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Mark graduated in 1978 from Johnstown Vo-Tech. He was employed with Conemaugh Township, Somerset Co. working on the road crew. Mark was an avid football fan, and enjoyed watching NASCAR, and going to camp as well as fishing at Cape Hatteras. He especially loved spending time with his friends at the Solomon Run Firemen’s Club and family. Anyone who knew Mark, knew that he was a big guy, quick to laugh. But his physical size was surpassed only by his generosity. He will be missed.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev.
