Mark R. Bates

Bates – Mark R., 67, Windber, went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2024. He was born July 22, 1957, in Windber, PA, to the late Charles R. and Audrey June (Thompson) Bates. 

Survived by sister, M'Liss and husband Mike Pearrow and nephew, Jack all of Pittsburgh; aunt, LaRue Lawson, Richland Twp. and several cousins, and many friends, including special friend, Destiny Boring, Windber.

He was a graduate of Johnstown Vo-Tech, and later graduated from Carnegie Mellon University as an Architect. Mark was a member of the former First Presbyterian Church, Windber. He was employed UpStreet Architect Inc., Johnstown. Mark enjoyed watching the Steelers and the Penguins. He will be sadly missed by all.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16th, day at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Scott Hoffman officiating.
