Marilyn C. Chuba

Chuba – Marilyn C., 82, Upper Yoder Township, went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2015 at In Touch Hospice, Somerset, PA. Born on May 15, 1933 in Johnstown, daughter of William A. and Bernadine M. (Nightingale) Billetdeaux. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis V. Chuba, and a special companion, James J. Cartwright. She is survived by her loving brother, William J. Billetdeaux, married to the former Thelma T. Havyer, Geistown Borough; stepdaughters, Connie Chuba, wife of Edward Kwiatkowski, Pinehurst, NC and Beverly Chuba, wife of Taylor R. Smith, Streetsboro, OH; grandchildren, Michael Kwaitkowski, married to the former Megan Murray, Solon, OH, Michelle Kwaitkowski, wife of Scott Franklin, Chagrin Falls, OH, Kevin Kwaitkowski, married to the former Jennifer Vosper, Colorado, and Nicole Smith, Streetsboro, OH; 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by these nieces and nephews, Joseph Billetdeaux, Mt. Prospect, IL, Mary Ann Gregor, Dayton, OH, Christina, wife of Tom Reifsteck, Parker, CO, Maria, wife of David Goldberg, Las Vegas, NV, and Michael Billetdeaux, Greensboro, NC; 6 great nieces and nephews. Marilyn was a graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School. She retired after 25 years of service from Hiram G. Andrews Center. Marilyn was a member of the Visitation of the BVM, Johnstown; the Red Hat Society, and a member of the HGAC Retired Women’s Luncheon Group. She enjoyed gardening, crafts and her little kitty cat, Leah. Marilyn will be remembered as a loving, thoughtful person. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Visitation of the BVM, Johnstown, Fr. John J. Slovikovski, Pastor. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
