Marian R. Wilson

Wilson, Marian R., 84, of Mineral Point, went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2014, at her residence. She was born on November 20, 1929, in Altoona. Daughter of Herbert J. and Marian R. (Koons) Walker. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dillon G. Wilson; brothers, Kenneth, Richard, Herbert, Charles, Arthur, James, and infant brother, David. Survived by her loving children:  Joseph Dillon, married to the former Kathleen Bayush and Jeffrey Kenneth, married to the former Joyce Kovach. Also survived by grandchildren: Matthew, married to the former Kathryn Leighty, Groton, CT, Lyndsey M., wife of Michael Taylor, Tahoe City, CA and Hannah N. Wilson, Biglerville, PA; great grandchildren, Noah, Claire, and Adam Wilson and Willson Taylor; sisters, Helen, wife of Richard Shannon, and Joyce Goss, all of Altoona, PA; numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Marian was a graduate of Altoona High School. She attended Summit Chapel United Methodist Church and Conemaugh Church of the Brethren. Marian enjoyed gardening, reading, going to Bible Study and church. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Friends will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Sunday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, and from 9 A.m. until time of service at 10 A.M. on Monday at Conemaugh Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Butch Derr officiating. Interment will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Conemaugh Church of the Brethren Building Fund, 1256 William Penn Ave., Johnstown, PA 15909, in memory of Marian.
