Keyser - Maria âPearl,â 89, of Cover Hill, passed away on May 18th, 2015 at LaurelWood Care Center. She was born on November 19, 1925, in Buffalo Mills, PA. Daughter of Samuel S. and Sarah E. (Corley) Adams. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her Husband James C. Keyser; grandson, Jeffrey J. Keyser; siblings, Harvey, Donald, Paul, Walter, Cora Irvin, Pauline, Henrietta; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Keyser. Pearl is survived by her loving children, Sarah Jane âJanieâ, wife of Jack Thompson, Louis James âButchâ, Karen Sumrada and fiancé, Geoffrey Jartin and Jeffrey S., married to the former Lori (Manges) all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Leslie (Jim) Sida, Lisa (Dan) Shroyer, Lou (Lynn) Keyser Jr., Jim (Mary) and Joe (Sarah) Kaseler, Adam (Katy) Keyser, Matthew and Marina Sumrada; great grandchildren, Stephanie, Nick and Ryan Sida, Brittany and Brady Shroyer, Lexi and Zach Kaseler and Sydney and Jordan Kaseler; also survived by siblings, Mary Lou Hillegass, Johnstown, Faye (Jerry) Paskert, Decatur, IL, and James (Henrietta) Adams, Buffalo Mills, PA; sister-in-law, Shirley Adams, Johnstown; numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends. Pearl was employed as a welder at National Radiator during WWII. She was also a former bus aide for Ribblett Bus Lines for many years. Pearl was a member of Ss. Gregory and Barnabas Church, Daisytown; YMCA Silver Sneakers Group; former Judge of Elections for Conemaugh Township; former member of Democratic Committee, and Cover Hill Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking cookies, gobs and cinnamon rolls as well as playing SkipBo and Yahtzee with her children. Pearl loved spending time with her entire family, who always came 1st in her life. Pearlâs family would like to thank everyone who assisted her, including the entire staff of Grane Hospice, LaurelWood Care Center, and Memorial Medical Center for their compassion and loving care above and beyond their call of duty. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 P.M. on Thursday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, East Conemaugh. A Prayer Service will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday at the funeral chapel, Rev. Father Robert Ruston. Committal will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
