She is survived by daughters, Linda married to Larry LaBar of Johnstown and Nancy married to Donald Hoffman of O’Fallon, IL; grandchildren, Lee married to Janette (Grasso) and Lance married to Cindy (Friedhoff) LaBar of Johnstown,  Donita married to David Hammerstein of Canton, MI, and Randy married to Susan (Johnson) Hoffman of Belleville, IL; great grandchildren, Andrew, Collin, Erica, Matthew and John Hammerstein of Canton, MI, Becca and Hannah LaBar of Johnstown, Sarah and Anna Hoffman of Belleville, IL, Brandon Grasso, Dylan, Carson and Allison LaBar of Johnstown; sisters, Anna Mae Montag and Saralee Wiedwald of Johnstown, and Patricia Mock of  New Orleans, LA; and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was a graduate of Johnstown High School. She was a retired seamstress from Bestform. Margaret was a member of SS. Gregory and Barnabas Parish and the Ladies International Garment Workers Union. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards, especially with her pinochle club. Margaret will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother. Death has come into our lives, and taken the person most important to us – and we can’t do anything but watch…and cry. We will never again experience the sound of our mother’s laughter…the beauty of her smile…the warmth of her embrace. Life will never be the same.

At Margaret’s request there will be no public viewing, however family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Monday at SS. Gregory and Barnabas Parish, Daisytown Church, Rev. Robert Ruston. Committal will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane is in charge of arrangements.  The family suggests contributions be directed to Ss. Gregory and Barnabas Church Building Fund, 120 Boltz Street, Johnstown, PA 15902 in memory of Margaret. On line condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
