Sedlmeyer, Margaret Ruth (Moehler), âDoo Deeâ, 94, of Daisytown, went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2013 at Laurel Wood Care Center. Born on December 7, 1918 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Oldham ) Moehler. Also preceded in death by husband, Raymond Harold; brothers, Daniel and Robert.
She is survived by daughters, Linda married to Larry LaBar of Johnstown and Nancy married to Donald Hoffman of OâFallon, IL; grandchildren, Lee married to Janette (Grasso) and Lance married to Cindy (Friedhoff) LaBar of Johnstown, Donita married to David Hammerstein of Canton, MI, and Randy married to Susan (Johnson) Hoffman of Belleville, IL; great grandchildren, Andrew, Collin, Erica, Matthew and John Hammerstein of Canton, MI, Becca and Hannah LaBar of Johnstown, Sarah and Anna Hoffman of Belleville, IL, Brandon Grasso, Dylan, Carson and Allison LaBar of Johnstown; sisters, Anna Mae Montag and Saralee Wiedwald of Johnstown, and Patricia Mock of New Orleans, LA; and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was a graduate of Johnstown High School. She was a retired seamstress from Bestform. Margaret was a member of SS. Gregory and Barnabas Parish and the Ladies International Garment Workers Union. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards, especially with her pinochle club. Margaret will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother. Death has come into our lives, and taken the person most important to us â and we canât do anything but watchâ¦and cry. We will never again experience the sound of our motherâs laughterâ¦the beauty of her smileâ¦the warmth of her embrace. Life will never be the same.
At Margaretâs request there will be no public viewing, however family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Monday at SS. Gregory and Barnabas Parish, Daisytown Church, Rev. Robert Ruston. Committal will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests contributions be directed to Ss.
