Margaret R. Placky

Placky – Margaret R., “Peggy”, 87, of Franklin Boro., went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2015  at Windber Church of the Brethren. Born on August 26, 1927, in Johnstown daughter of John and Theresa (Bulick) Medvesky. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Michael, Joseph, and sisters, Irene Perillo, Anna Marchick, Mary Janoscik, Martha Muchuhan. Margaret is survived by her loving children, Robert J. Placky, JR, married to the former Debra Gardecki, State College, PA, Deborah Placky-Craig, wife of Rick Craig, Erie, PA, Patricia L. Pisczek, Johnstown; grandchildren, Jennifer (Doug) Callenberger, Matthew (Bernadette) Placky, Jesse (Trista) Placky, Benjamin (Angela) Plummer, Brian Plummer, Jaime (Richard) Pisczek-Sefick, Claire Placky, and Calder Placky; great-grandchildren, Carley, Nathan, Tommy, Danny, Emma, Abigail, Annabelle, Elizabeth, Eben, and Scarlett and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret retired from Lee Hospital where she was employed in the Dietary Department. She was a member of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, and the Franklin Borough Ladies Auxiliary. Margaret enjoyed baking, reading, but especially loved spending time with her family. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Parastas will be sung. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Rev. Dr. Robert F. Oravetz. Committal will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
