MCMAHAN-CARLISS---Lynne A., 62, of Clayton, NC., formerly of Johnstown, PA, passed away on November 26, 2022, at UNC Health Johnston Hospital, Clayton, NC. She was born on June 12, 1960, in Johnstown, PA, daughter of William V. and Evelyn L. (Bartlett) Carliss. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by husband, John McMahan; son, Sean W. Carliss, married to the former Kelsey J. McCabe, Clayton, NC; stepsons, Evan L. McMahan, Atlanta, GA and Eric W. McMahan, Culpeper, VA; beloved grandchildren, Brooks W. Carliss and Cole A. Carliss, Clayton, NC; brother, William J. Carliss, married to the former Kathleen A. DeBonis, Frederick, MD; nieces, Madelyn A. Carliss and Sophia E. Carliss, of Frederick, MD; and several cousins. Lynne was a graduate of Richland Senior High School, Johnstown, PA, Class of 1978, and of Saint Francis University, Loretto, PA, Class of 1994. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a grant manager with the United States Coast Guard, with over 30 years of service. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend.
