Loren C. Reeves

Reeves - Loren C., “Luke”, 89, of Richland Township. Went to be with his Lord on November 21, 2021. Born December 1, 1931 in Oil City, PA. Son of the late George V. and Mabel E. (Carroll) Reeves. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, the former Barbara E. “Lizzie” Edwards; son, Stanley E., and brother, Kenneth. Survived by children; Randy L (Carol) Reeves, Middletown, DE, and Carlton (Charlene) Reeves, Hagerstown, MD; also 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. Brother of Elizabeth Hosea, Oil City and Ethel Johnson, Phoenix, AZ. Luke graduated from Oil City High School in 1950. He retired from Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. as a Maintenance welder in the Mechanical Dept. Luke was a member of Christian & Missionary Alliance Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school assistant, Superintendent, Elder, Board Member, Trustee and Bowling team. He was also a member of Metro Minor Bowling League. Luke will be remembered as a loving husband and father. Friends will be received 10 am to 11 am time of service Saturday Dec. 11 at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Chaplain Rodney Hatfield from AseraCare Hospice, officiating.
