Lois E. Rhoades

Rhoades, Lois E., 89, of Conemaugh Township, Cambria County, went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on April 18, 1924 in Johnstown. Daughter of Raymond and Rowena (Jones) Jenkins. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald F. Rhoades; children, Donald, Ricky, Raymond “Dusty”, and Denna Lynn Kelly; siblings, Jimmy, Naomi Silvis, June Lang, Jessie Saloney, Jackie Jenkins, Dennie Kaufman, Jenny LaMont, and Rinne Cauffield. She is survived by her son, Daniel J., married to the former Diane Updyke, Conemaugh Township, Cambria County; grandchildren, Vicki Burkett, Donny, Billy Joe “Bid”, and Jimmy Rhoades, Danielle and Melissa Mowery, Jennifer Kohler and Richard and Daniel “Dozer” Rhoades; great grandchildren, Jacob Kohler, Samantha and Tommy Malfer and Brittany Daughenbaugh; sisters, Donna (Tom) Krinjeck, Georgie (Chet) Stein, Ann (Von) Meck; brothers, Marty and Gary (Linda) Jenkins; daughter-in-law, Patricia Rhoades; numerous nieces, nephews and special friend, Denise Rygel. Lois attended SS. Gregory and Barnabas Parish, Daisytown. She enjoyed baking, playing BINGO and lottery tickets. Lois loved crocheting and quilting and will be remembered for her quilts, blankets and homemade gobs, fudge and bread. Friends will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Thursday and from 9 A.M. until time of Prayer Service at 10 A.M. on Friday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, Father Robert Ruston.
