Roles, Lloyd L., âRattle Snake Peteâ, 82 of Richland Township, went to be with the Lord and his son, Daniel on March 5, 2013. He was born on May 17, 1930 in Johnstown. Son of the late Wade and Esther (Stuart) Roles. In addition to his parents and his son, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Edward F. and Wayne and sister, Ethel Rager. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary E. (Katancik) Roles, Richland Township; sons, David L., Cook Forest, and Darin J., Richland Township; daughter, Debra Adams, Cook Forest; grandchildren, Jody, Luke, Rebecca, Allison, Thomas, Benjamin and Michael; great grandchildren, Zoe, Lucy and Lilly; brother, Herman, Johnstown and several nieces and nephews. Lloyd served in the US Army with Company C., 37th Armored Infantry Battalion during the Korean War. He retired from Conemaugh Blacklick Railroad after 37 years of service as a Conductor. Lloyd was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #243. He enjoyed gardening at home as well as hunting, fishing and camping with his family at Juniata River in Everett. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 A.M. Friday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum with military rites conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team.
